Welding Position

Characteristics
E71T-1 is a rutile type CO2 shielded flux cored wire for the welding of carbon manganese steels. It is recommended for the all positional welding of mild and low alloy steels with a tensile strength of up to 620MPa for general purpose fabrication. E71T-1 also provides increased toughness at sub zero temperatures.

Applications
Used for welding structures made of carbon steel and low alloy structural steel with tensile strength higher than or equal to 490MPa. Most widely used for welding some key structures like shipbuilding, mechanical manufacture, pressure vessels, boilers, petroleum machinery, chemical machinery, hoisting machinery, etc.

Procedures
Any oil or rust on the weldament should be cleared away. When welding a gas flow of 20-25l/min is recommended, When welding with flux cored wires the extension elongation should be 15-25mm. The humidity of the welding wire storeroom should be preserved below 60%.It is not suitable for non vacuum packed welding wire to be stored for more than 6 months, and it is not suitable for vacuum packed welding wires to be stored for more than a year.
